Saturday will be snorkelling and diving at Muttonbird Island, near the Coffs Harbour Marina.   Sunday will be boat diving with Jetty dive out at the South Solitary Islands. If you have not dived here before - check out https://jettydive.com.au/solitary-islands-half-day-dive.../ The cost for a boat dive is approximately $205 if you have your own equipment. For snorkelers and divers who do not have their own equipment the club can hire equipment to you at vary reasonable prices or you can hire equipment from Jetty Dive on the day. If interested in attending, please mark going and we will set up a chat to co-ordinate in more detail. Trips to Coffs Harbour we ask participants to arrange their own accommodation.  There are a number of options available around Coffs Harbour to fit everyones requirements.  Members often use the trip chat to co-ordinate group share accommodation options.

2 days of diving at South West Rocks. The club will plan saturday as shore diving/snorkelling and boat diving on the sunday (14th June) out to Fish Rocks (rated as one of the best dive sites in NSW). For boat diving we will use the South West Rocks Dive Centre (https://swrdive.com.au/). Please book ASAP directly with the dive centre to ensure your spot.  Cost for boat dives are $280. SWR has a number of accommodation options available. In the past the club have often used the Trial Bay campground (https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/.../trial-bay-gaol...) as it is close to one of the potential shore dive sites. The dive centre also has accommodation available for those who do not like camping at reasonable prices. Or find something else that fits more your style. Feel free to join in on both days activities, or join for only one day and explore this area on the other day. A weekend of shore diving and snorkelling around the areas between Arrawarra and Red Rock.  The sites are shallow, max depth around 8m.  Red Rocks is well protected for those who like calm water, while the surrounding headlands give interesting diving/snorkelling opportunities.  Weekend has been selected for the correct tides for Red Rocks.  Perfect weekend for those wanting to get away from from the cold Armidale winter.  Being shore based both days it is one of our cheaper planned trips.  For snorkelers and divers who do not have their own equipment the club can hire equipment to you at vary reasonable prices. Trips to this stretch of the coast, we ask participants to arrange their own accommodation.  Club members have camped at the NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort in the past or booked Air BnBs.  It is also not that far up the road from Coffs Harbour.   Members often use the trip chat to co-ordinate group share accommodation options.  

One of the trips we look forward to each year.  We have picked this weekend for favourable tides. Perfect for both scuba diving and snorkelling.  All activities are shore based - with the option of a night dive.  A lot of the sites are tidal, but it is this fact that has resulted in the prolific underwater life. Great sponge gardens, plenty of fish life abound including shark and rays species, plus turtles and nudibranchs. The area is within a marine park and the local council encourages an interest in diving and snorkelling having build easy access for dive sites. Diving will take place around the high tide for best visibility, so dives will be completed in the morning (between 7 - 12pm) and you can have the afternoon to explore the area at your leisure.  Saturdays night dive will be around 9pm. The club has kit to hire and accommodation will be an air bnb. As we need to book accommodation we need confirmations for this trip early. So if your interested - even if you are not yet sure then please let us know ASAP via the event. Join us for 1 or both days.  The local dive shop runs boat diving out to Broughton Island you can organise privately, but this will not be part of the club activities. 

October club trip will be down to one of the clubs favourite destinations - Forster. We will use Adam and the team from Forster Dive Centre (https://www.forsterdivecentre.com.au/) for organising boat dives. They have availability both saturday and sunday at this point in time.  Their website has descriptions of dive sites, or check out their facebook page (www.facebook.com/forsterdivecentre) where they post video's so you can see some of the great diving available.  A great place to see grey nurse sharks.  If people are wanting to mix it up, I can organise shore diving on the saturday.  If you are wanting to do 1 day shore diving/snorkelling please let me know. This will only be organised for the saturday if people choose this option.
